Each summer, the city of Lancaster comes alive during this 10-day festival of classical music and art. This year’s festival, from July 19, 2017 to July 9, 2017 will celebrate 30 years of music, art, and community. Under the artistic direction of award-winning conductor Gary Sheldon, the Lancaster Festival Orchestra is the summer home of professional musicians from across the United States, performing a variety of pops and classical orchestral pieces. Ticket sales start in late May.
Decorative Arts Center of Ohio
This summer, the Decorative Arts Center of Ohio features a traveling exhibit from the Canton Museum of Art titled, Three Voices: Conversations on Life & Conflict. See life expressed through the art of three different women artists from three of Ohio’s major cities. Found in a fully restored 19th century mansion, the Decorative Arts Center of Ohio also features an extensive calendar of children’s summer camps, workshops, lectures and more.
