Located in Slate Run Metro Park, you have the opportunity to step into a piece of history, a period frozen in time. As you tour the farm, you will see what the common living areas of individuals were like back then. And as you walk through the various structures and around the farm's gardens, you will see both staff and volunteers dressed as those back in the 1800s used to dress, reenacting the multiple farm chores and everyday activities that were common during this time. The next place you should consider visiting is the National Baber and Hall of Fame. Now, why should you care about this? Is a barbershop just a barbershop, right? I’m sure these thoughts are crossing your mind while reading this. Well, the simple answer is you should visit this museum to learn about the history of the profession and how it all began. 

Mr. Ed Jeffers established the museum in 1988 to help educate individuals on how barbershops became a thing and the stories behind them. Throughout the museum, you will see items that have been maintained to help you feel like you are going back through time and allow them to see bits and pieces of barbershops from all over the country. These items include but aren’t limited to the barber: chairs, poles, razors, shaving mugs, signs, and various other tools used.

Another place that would be great for adults is Slate Run Vineyard. Here, you will learn about the local wine made in the area and how the process works. It is also home to Weinhaus. Weinhaus is a 2,400 sq. ft venue and has a seating capacity of 25.
