During the summer months, who doesn’t love to gravitate towards the water? Westerville’s Hoover Dam has great walking, jogging and biking trails with beautiful views not only during the summer but all year round. Locals love to take their boats out or go fishing, and even participate in Disc Golf games. This is definitely a hot spot to check out on your way through Westerville. Who knew Ohio had a Hoover Dam?
These beautiful 121 acre gardens are nestled in a scenic nature preserve filled with streams, woodlands, wildflowers, landscaped flowerbeds, rock gardens, and open lawns. The Inniswood Metro Gardens would be a peaceful day trip for biking, enjoying a picnic or to just explore the enchanting flowers or artwork from local artists in The Innis House. Please note, however, that activities are only allowed outside of the formal gardening areas and there are designated picnic areas if you have food. The gardens are free everyday and always open to the public! You may also sign up for a class or event!
Westerville Mini Golf and Batting Cages is open every day and offers promotions on certain days, including free token day and free replay day! Otherwise, mini golf is $7 for adults ages 14+ and $5 for children ages 2-13. For the batting cages, you can buy 1 token for $1, 6 tokens for $5, and 14 tokens for $10 (1 token=12 pitches).
