1. The Dayton Jewish Film Festival
The Dayton Jewish Film Festival will be running everyday from April 25, 2017 until May 18, 2017. The festival will be screening a number of fantastic films that should not be missed by anyone who loves filmography. Entrance fee is $9 for adult, $8 for students. There is a season pass that allows you entry throughout the whole festival for just $75.
2. Organized walk in the park
Every year the MetroPark Volunteers organize a free for all adult’s nature park walk that includes lots of exploring, relaxation and sharing. This year’s edition of the walk began on Feb 1, 2017 and will end with the highlight of the event on May 1, 2017. The last day of the walk is usually graced by lots of people with a grand picnic organized at midday.
3. Country Jam
Lovers of country music and gospel vibes can enjoy a free country music jam every Monday from 6pm till 8.30pm at 3800 Main St., Payne Recreation Center, OH. The event runs until May 22, 2017. More information on the event can be found here.
4. Movie Nights
Neon Movies screens latest and classic movies all year long. Tuesday nights are special movie nights at the Neon in Downtown Dayton. Entrance is just $5.50 on Tuesday movie nights.
5. Lucinda Williams in concert
The legendary country, rock, blues singer/songwriter Lucinda Williams will be in concert at the Victoria Theater OH on May 2, 2017. Named America’s Best songwriter, the legend will be performing hits from some of her critically acclaimed albums, more information on the concert can be found here.
6. LIVE Pro-Wrestling
Every Wednesday at 7pm the Ohio RockStar Arena if filled with many action lovers coming to enjoy LIVE professional wrestling. The wresting show features many international stars and definitely counts as a ‘should not miss’ event.
7. Great Escape Game in Beavercreek
Small groups of people can enjoy real-life escape room puzzle adventures at the Great Escape in Beavercreek. The puzzle center is open everyday between 10am and 11pm. It is an exciting event for a group of friends to enjoy, there are 6 different puzzle rooms to choose from and participants have exactly an hour to escape the room.
8. International Folk Dancing
The Miami Valley Folk Dancers holds dancing classes every Thursday evening at 7:00pm at the Michael Solomon Pavilion, on May 25, 2017 they are having an open house night for anyone who wants to experience a fun dance filled evening. New folk dances from around will be taught by the dancer major Joe Graziosi.
9. First Friday Downtown Dayton
At the beginning of every month Downtown Dayton and the Oregon District, OH hold an open exhibiting day in Downtown Dayton. The event starts at 5pm till 10pm, featuring many varieties of entertainment and exhibits. First Friday for May will be on the 5th and as with all First Friday events, entry will be free of charge. All recreational locations are usually packed with different activities throughout the First Friday night.
10. Dayton DRAGONS baseball
The Dayton Dragons play a number of games all summer, with the dates available on the Dragons’ website. They're a Class A minor league team playing in the Midwest League but the games are very entertaining, as The Dragons have their own entertainment staff (The Green team), which works very hard to keep you fired up and on your feet throughout the entire game with family-friendly fun!

12. Jerry Seinfeld Stand up comedy show

13. Train Rides at Carillon Park Railroad

14. Generations Big Band in concert
The Mandalay hosts a Generations Big Band concert every 2nd Friday of the month until June 9, 2017. Admission and appetizers cost $20.00 per person, payable at the door.
15. Karaoke night at Blind Bobs
Wednesday night is Karaoke night with the talent Dj Nancy at Blind Bobs Downtown Dayton. Karaoke starts at 9:30pm till 11:30pm.
16. Comedy Open Mic
Every Sunday evening from 8:00 PM to 10:00 PM, Wiley's Comedy Joint, OH hosts a night of comedy dedicated to all comedy lovers and those that think they are funny! Entrance fee os $5 per person, drinks and snacks are available for sale.
17. A World A'Fair Dayton International Festival
An international weekend of showcasing diversity through food, dance, music, cloths and other exhibits. The 3-day event begins on Friday May 19 and ends on Sunday May 21 at the Dayton Convention Center, OH. Entrance ranges from $4 to $8 depending on age group. 18. Maxwell in concert
The soul legend will be performing at the Fraze Pavillion on May 30, 2017 starting at 7pm featuring Ledisi and Leela James. The Brooklyn legend is expected t perform some of hits songs and some new songs from his upcoming album. Tickets are selling for $46 to $76.
19. Miamisburg Spring Fling Festival
The Miamisburg Spring Fling Festival is a community event that begins on May 19 and ends on May 21, 2017. The festival features community booths were people try out different foods, purchase artwork and play games.
20. Adidas Warrior Soccer Classic
Every year Adidas sponsors a community youth soccer tournament, this year’s edition is held in Dayton Oh for May 27 to May 29, 2017. Access to the stadium is free, teams that want to participate can register here.
