In 1765, the British government imposed a stamp act on all American colonies. That same year some of our forefathers; John Adams, Samuel Adams, John Hancock, and Paul Revere, would meet discreetly at a tavern outside of Boston where they would make plans to oppose the Stamp Act. This tavern was later renamed the Liberty Tavern. Little did they know that these meetings sowed the seeds of revolution and ideals of a new nation. The Liberty Tavern was named in honor of our founding forefathers, sacrifices they made in the face of liberty, and in remembrance of the original Liberty Tavern.

The Liberty Tavern offers a variety of menu options. If you’re in the mood for a different type of appetizer, try the buffalo chicken tots. Graeter’s Ice Cream

With 150 years of experience, family tradition is an important factor in making the ice cream that everybody knows and loves. This ice cream is made using what is called the french pot process. This process is unique to Graeter’s. The process starts when the french pot is filled with cream, sugar, eggs, and the various flavoring ingredients. The pot is then spun which forces the product to stick to the sides and freeze. The frozen parts, ice cream, are scraped off the sides of the pot and hand scooped into pint containers. These pint containers are the ice cream that customers know and love as Graeter’s ice cream.
