Yes, you read that subtitle right. This is the post of your dreams, this is the moment where we can really ask ourselves, is coffee addicted to me, or am I addicted to it, or is it both? Whether it’s something you love, or it’s something you enjoy once in a while, you just can’t ever seem to run away from any coffee shop. This is why we’ve curated the ultimate list of the best local coffee shops around and in German Village, a neighborhood of Columbus, OH. This is also why we encourage those of you who are from the area, or looking at moving, to strongly consider moving as close to these coffee shops as possible. Trust us, the taste of the artisan coffee will be the first thing you fall head over heels in love with!
Stauf’s Coffee
Does coffee flow through your bloodstream?
Address: 627 South 3rd Street, Columbus, OH 43206 (German Village)
Phone: (614) 221-1563
Website: staufs.com
If you are anything like us and enjoy a nice cup of coffee in the morning, or all day -- no judgments here, as we enjoy coffee a lot -- you need to check out Stauf’s. From the moment you walk in, you’ll be crashing into the aroma of gourmet coffee. From being considered the best coffee shop in the Columbus area, there is no denying that fact, as there is much that Stauf’s does, you will be wondering where they have been hiding all this time.
The best part about Stauf’s is their monthly coffee subscription, where you will get the chance to try out the newest blends. Many of them come straight from the ground, to a grinder, then a roaster, and then gently dumped into your cup. Being Columbus’ first area micro roaster, they will always guarantee to put a smile on your face, and will encourage you to close your eyes, bring the cup to your nose, and breathe in the aroma of freshly served coffee. We highly recommend checking their shop as well as their Facebook page, where they will list the coffee of the day, how to make different kinds of coffee, and to keep you updated on all things coffee.
My favorite coffee shop in Columbus! I've been to every location, but you can't quite beat the cute little German village shop. I have been here quite a few times and have never tried anything I haven't liked, which is a good sign since I tend to be particular about flavor. - Yelp Review.

I absolutely adore this place. I've been to both locations and they are equally fabulous. I love their pastries and their coffee selection. The environment is perfect for working on your laptop or grabbing a coffee with a friend. I also get their New Orleans coffee while I'm there and walk out with a warm coffee to go. - Yelp Review.

Chocolates: boxes, single, bags. Smells wonderful in here. Nice mingle of freshly brewed coffee and chocolates. - Yelp Review.

(Closed due to COVID-19). Servicing you since 1981, this popular local shindig is the perfect spot for a small date, hang out with friends, or even a nice place to get away and enjoy some pancakes and coffee. This diner has not changed one bit, and as it maintains its authentic vintage look, it still looks to serve its usual diner-style food to every generation that walks through their doors.
Do you remember the TV sitcom Cheers? Going into the German Village Coffee Shop is like sitting at the bar if you were in Cheers. I stayed at a nearby hotel while in Columbus for work and went to Just Love Coffee three mornings (including their very first day of business.). Excellent well made lattes and very good food … A welcome change from hotel food. - Yelp Review

Yum! Cute little place. Easy parking. Quaint interior. Creative lattes and coffee-based drinks. Friendly staff. Hit the marshmallow mocha. Seasonal for March but if it was year round I would not be mad about it! - Google Review.

Yes, you heard that right, you crazy coffee drinkers! A bookstore that serves the best coffee, and even beats out the other coffeeshop slash bookstores anywhere else. Aside from being the best coffee a bookstore has ever served, you can request this coffee as a house, latte (hot or iced), add flavoring, and so many other ways to make your perfect brew. Another great thing about this business, is that their food and coffee is vegan, and can be enjoyed by anyone.
The food was better than anticipated. As a traditional eater living with a vegan I occasionally try role reversal in our dining selections. Everything is vegan! #1 burrito was really tasty as was the potato and leek soup. I was really surprised by the biscuit with "sausage" gravy. It was so good! We'll be back for sure. - Google review
Native Cold Pressed
Vegan coffee is the next best thing.

If you are looking for a type of coffee that is mixed with other things, such as healthier ingredients, you may want to check out Native Cold Pressed. Their mission is to bring a healthier variety of popular drinks, but also make them taste good. Do not let the names scare you off, one of the best drinks we recommend trying is the golden lion latte - made with turmeric, ginger, lion’s mane, cinnamon, coconut sugar, and a few other ingredients - or the blue peppermint latte - this one has blue majik algae, ashwagandha, coconut sugar, and a few other ingredients. Whether you are looking to step out of your comfort zone, or looking for a healthier alternative, consider Native Cold Press.
We came to this place for a meeting. my friend recommended this place. Well, it was a win. The crew were extremely nice and we had an excellent feeling. The food was just great. We had a great time and we shall absolutely come back again. Keep it up. - Google Review
