As people continue to self-isolate and stay safe at home, they may start to miss those times when they could meet their friends at their favorite bar for a drink. While it’s no longer an option to go to Columbus breweries and beer stores in person, there are many businesses who are willing to deliver your beer to your home! Even though you can’t hang out with friends or loved ones in person for a Friday evening happy hour, you can all get together on Facetime or Skype and enjoy your brews together and catch up after a long week of work.

Show your support of these Columbus businesses, who are willing and able to deliver beer right to your door. You can keep your beer fridge stocked, all while keeping those around you safe by not leaving the house.

Columbus Breweries Who Will Deliver Beer

Keep these local Columbus breweries in mind the next time you need to place a beer order

Wolf’s Ridge Brewing

This craft brewery is a favorite of those fans of American microbrews, and there are always plenty of in house options for you to choose from on draft. The menu changes according to the seasons, so you’ll always be treated to brews that offer in season ingredients that can easily paired with many of their delectable food items. They also support other small breweries and often have draft choices from additional crafthouses as well.

This family-owned brewery wanted to create a special place in Columbus where people could come and enjoy beer and hand-crafted, creative food items. Although you can’t go to their taproom yet, check out their online menu and enjoy some of their beer, whether in a growler, bottles, or in cans. They would be more than happy to ensure you never run out of beer at home. Throw in some fun appetizers and make it a special (home) happy hour!

Nocterra

The people at Nocterra recognized that Columbus is a city of movers, who like to get up and go outside for exercise and fresh air. That simple concept is what’s behind their brewery--that beer and the outside equal a great time. Although locals are encouraged to keep with their exercising routines and enjoy the outdoors for walks, hikes, bike rides, etc. safely, they can no longer gather together and enjoy a pint at Nocterra. But don’t let that discourage you from supporting this local brew spot!

Instead we suggest you to check out their online taproom, and see what brews they currently have available for pick up or delivery. They would be more than happy to make sure you are able to still enjoy your favorite brews from the safety of your home, maybe even after you take a nice long walk or bike ride!

Seventh Son Brewing

If you’re a fan of this Columbus brewery’s popular Humulus Nimbus strong pale ale or The Scientist IPA--as well as a slew of other amazing beer choices--you’ll be happy to know that they are now available for online ordering! Visit their website to choose which beers you’d like to order, along with the quantity of each selection. Be aware that there is a delivery minimum, and you must order at least four items. An item is considered a six pack, a four pack, or a single bottle, so feel free to mix and match.

Seventh Son Brewing is currently taking orders for delivery all around Columbus, which includes areas inside of I-270 as well as all the major suburbs (Dublin, Blacklick, Canal Winchester, Pickerington, and Delaware). When you’re ready to purchase, make sure to choose a time window for your delivery as well, and once it’s received, your order will go out the next day. Keep in mind that Friday orders will ship Monday, however, so make sure to think and order ahead of time!

Land Grant Brewing

This local brewery has deep Columbus roots--after the owners and brewers graduated from the Ohio State University, they dreamed of returning home to create something of their own in Columbus. The result was Land Grant Brewing, which first opened its doors in 2014. It has now grown to two locations as well as a taproom inside the Columbus International Airport. Additionally, you can find their beers in almost any grocery store in central Ohio.

This popular brewery is now offering delivery of their beers to residents in the Columbus area with a minimum purchase of $40 or more. If you’ve ever had one of their Stiff Arm IPAs or any one of the Quadrahopic series, you know that meeting the delivery minimum shouldn’t be a problem. They strive to get all deliveries placed before 12pm out the same day, and even offer a drive through pick-up window if you’d prefer to have your beer sooner!

Platform Brewing

Although this brewery started out in Cleveland in 2014, its popularity grew quickly and owners opened up a Columbus taproom in 2016 much to the delight of locals. Stopping by to get some seasonal beers either inside or outside in their beer garden is a favorite way for those in Columbus to get out and enjoy friends and family--along with some great beers. Although you aren’t able to meet up at the taproom anymore, Platform Brewing is offering delivery to residents in certain areas of Columbus, Cleveland, Cincinnati, and Dayton.

Visit their site to choose which items you’d like to order--at least a $20 minimum--and they’ll get your items shipped as soon as possible. To keep up with demand, they’re shipping Sunday through Thursday from 12pm-8pm and Friday through Saturday from 12pm-10pm.

North High Brewing

North High Brewing has been on the Columbus beer scene since 2011, and was one of the first to focus on the experience of brewing, and has focused on allowing customers to brew beer for themselves and see what it was like to be the brewmaster. Many beer lovers in Columbus have taken advantage of the opportunity to utilize the skills of these brewers, who can help them make their own personal batch of beer. North High also makes their own delicious beer, and while they’re closed, are offering it for delivery to the Columbus area!

Whether you want a case of their Honey Wheat, Rise IPA, or Five pale ale, all you have to do is send an email to kelsey@northhighbrewing.com and inform them of what beer you’d like and in what quantities. There is a four six pack minimum order (one case) and orders will be fulfilled and delivered the next day.

Columbus Restaurants and Bars Ready to Delivery Beer via DoorDash

Help these local restaurants stay open and order some of your favorite beers for delivery

101 Beer Kitchen

This restaurant is a favorite among people all over Ohio and Indiana--with four locations available to serve patrons. With everyone staying at home due to COVID 19 health measures, this popular restaurant has had to close its dining room and taprooms, but that doesn’t mean you can’t still order a delicious meal, and pair it with one of their amazing beer selections! Whether you’re in the mood for a juicy burger, a salmon BLT, or homemade macaroni and cheese, these comfort food items would make a great lunch or dinner at home.

Don’t forget to include some of their fantastic variety of beers to make your meal complete. Their selections might vary, so make sure to call the restaurant in your area ahead of time to confirm they have the beer you want in stock. After that, just order and wait for delivery to your door!

The Half Pint

If you prefer your beer with an Ohio focus, then the Half Pint is probably one of your go-to places when you’re craving a good bite and brew. So if this craving strikes you on a Friday night when you would normally go out to meet friends, don’t let the fact that you need to stay home get you down! Just set up a time for all of your friends to get together online, and order drinks and food from the Half Pint just like you normally would.

Their appetizers such as yum yum sprouts, poutine, and wings seem to go well with any of their beers-- or order one of their huge burgers or sandwiches and make a full meal of it. You can help out your favorite beer bar and stay safe at home, and maybe even host a virtual catch up with friends!

Old Bag of Nails

There’s nothing better to pair the Old Bag of Nails’ famous fish and chips with then an ale--and residents in Columbus should be happy to know that they can order both for delivery right to their door! You don’t have to stop your weekly fish and chips Friday habit, just choose to have it delivered to your home instead. Not in the mood for fish? Try one of their other sandwiches like the Philly cheesesteak, French dip, California Club, or New England Reuben. No matter what you decide to order, you can always pair it with your favorite beer to complete your meal.

Amazon

Many locals in Columbus have been taking advantage of their Amazon Prime memberships and ordering their grocery and household items online. The convenience of online shopping has allowed them to stay home and still get their weekly shopping needs taken care of. But did you know that as of 2017, you can also order beer and alcohol from your Amazon account? That’s right, order your groceries, clothing, movies, and any other items you might need, but don’t forget to stock up on some beer as well! This is a great option for residents to get delivery of their alcohol either in one hour for a $7.99 fee or in two hours for free.

In this time of self-isolation and social distancing, it’s important to try and stick to a schedule as much as you can.
