Easter Egg Paperweight

Create Beautiful Art At Neusole Glassworks

Sun April 28th, 2019

$40 per person

Neusole Glassworks

11925 Kemper Springs Drive, Cincinnati, OH

Must be 5 years or older

Glassblowing is a fun activity that creates beautiful sentimental pieces of art. Whether you are making a gift or a personal creation, this art form is very unique. The artistic activity provides a creative way to make a lasting memory. Instructors at Neusole Glassworks will help you shape your glass into an egg shape paperweight for a festive Easter creation.

Glassblowing is a glass creation technique using tools to sculpt several different art creations such as paperweights, ornaments, and wine glasses. Tools such as a blowpipe, tweezers, and air from your very own mouth are used throughout the process. The blowpipe is a hollow tube that is used to get molten glass out of the furnace. You then roll out the molten glass on top of a steel table to form an even shape for a festive paperweight. Blowing air into the molten glass using a blowpipe forms a bubble and allows for the glass to expand. Shaping the glass with tweezers further manipulates the glass to create twists and shapes of your desire.

The Easter egg paperweight is both functional and artistic for a festive design to be displayed for years to come.

Neusole Glassworks provides demonstrations so that participants can learn how to blow glass and create the Easter egg paperweights. Reservations are mandatory and can be made by email or phone.
