The Newark Lions Club 5K Run & Walk

This event organized by the Newark Lions club aims to raise funds for charity purposes. It affords you an opportunity to participate in the fun run with residents and other summer visitors at the Newark rotary park. The events starts from around 8:30 am to around 1 pm on the 22nd of July, 2017. Register here >

Seussical The Musical

The Dr. Seuss story is a very interesting one, but it is better told on stage, with great effects and sound from a life cast of talented youths who takes the story from the Jungle of Nool to Solla Sollew and brings it live to you on stage on West Main street. This event is billed to happen all through the summer period in various locations across town. The event on West Main street will happen on the 13th of July, 2017 from 8:30 pm to about 10 pm. The Licking OHC Horse Fun Show

The Ohio Horseman Council (OHC) Licking chapter presents this horse fun show. If you are looking for an avenue to participate in sports and other recreational activities as well as raise funds for charity purposes, then this event is for you. All participants are required to appear modest without show clothes or show tacks. If you have children under 18 coming with you, they will need to wear a helmet, long pants and boots for safety purposes. There is a silent auction billed to happen at the event, and there is a variety of food available for sale. Keep it a date, and get to enjoy so much fun. Read more about it here >

Total Eclipse Viewing Party

Natural occurrences such as eclipse usually have very low witnesses. At times when you are really eager to see one, you may be lacking the necessary guidance needed. Join other residents and travelers to view the total eclipse of the sun with expert guidance from the Ohio State University faculty at the Newark campus of the Ohio State University. Honorary World War 2 Traveling Memorial

The world war II travelling memorial will be at Newark on August 26, 2017. An opportunity to pay tribute to veterans and other fallen soldiers, see some of the WWII planes and aircraft and get to hear first-hand stories and get to see movies that describes the war in great details. It is a free event with music and a host of food vendors around to satisfy you and your guests. Check it out >
