Lewis Center is a community nestled in Delaware County, which was recently named as one of the best places to live in the U.S. Lewis Center brings its own things to the table to help the county get that recognition. From indoor to outdoor adventure spots, Lewis Center has lush meadows, parks, an indoor trampoline, and more that will keep you entertained for more than just a weekend.

Sky Zone Trampoline Park

Jump the day away!

What’s more fun than an indoor trampoline play center? If you have children, or you’re just a child-at-heart, head on over to Sky Zone for a family dodgeball tournament on their trampoline dodgeball court or freestyle it in their wall-to-wall trampoline room. There is also a foam zone where you can break out your gymnast moves and catch major air before diving into a soft foam pit. There are also different programs that you can register for, such as SkyFit, which is a trampoline workout class, and Toddler Time, which allows little ones to jump with their parents without interference from the bigger kids. Highbanks Metropark

A Lewis Center staple

For outdoor recreation, sometimes the best places are the breathtaking, natural landscapes and open spaces. Highbanks Metropark is a 100-foot high shale bluff that towers over the scenic Olentangy State River. The 1,200-acre area offers trails for walking and hiking; canoeing and fishing on the river; cross-country skiing; nature centers; relaxing grounds for picnics; and more. Informational and hiking programs are offered for all ages, so no matter what you’re looking for, there’s definitely a program for you.

Shale Hollow Preserve

Nature at its Finest

With 211 acres of natural beauty, this park has a lot to offer its visitors. Whether you prefer to go geocaching, strolling along footbridges, hiking in the white oak forest, watching your kids in the natural play areas, or exploring the cliffs around the Olentangy State River stream, you’ll find something that will keep you relaxed and entertained for an afternoon. There are program guides for all of the fun activities that you can get involved in across all of the parks in Delaware County, so be sure to check them out.

Little Bear Golf Club

Sink your Claws into this Opportunity

This unique, 11-hole course is aimed at beginners and casual golfers who aren’t up for the traditional 18 holes. The course is split into a “front” five, “back” five, and one additional “challenge” hole. The 11th hole is an island green that is also used for charity events, fundraisers, and hole-in-one contests. It usually takes golfers 40 minutes to get through the first five holes, so if that’s all you have time for on your lunch break, no problem; this course is designed specifically for you. The landscape is well-maintained with rolling hills, three lakes, a stone waterfall, 22 sandtraps, and tons of trees. If you register for Little Bear’s eClub, you’ll receive a free green fee on your birthday!

Even though Little Bear prides itself on its golfing experience, there’s much more than golf at this club. Sit back and relax at the Little Bear Club and Grille or kick it up a notch at a personal fitness lesson with the club’s trainer.

Laser Kraze

It’ll be a Krazy Good Time

A game of laser tag just might be all that you and your family needs on a Saturday afternoon. If that’s the case, head on over to Laser Kraze for an all-in game day. In addition to world-class laser tag, there is also an arcade and zero gravity inflatables for your enjoyment. When you tire yourself out, take your kids over to the snack bar for a well-deserved pizza party.

Alum Creek State Park

Home to Ohio’s Largest Inland Beach

This park has more than just woodlands. There is a 3,387-acre reservoir that offers four launch ramps. If you own a boat or are seeking a rental, look no further than Alum Creek. There is an 18-hole disc golf course at the New Galena ramp area. If it’s just you and your dog at the park for the day, make sure you head to the 4-acre dog park. If fishing, hiking, and hunting are more your speed, don’t fret; you can do all of these activities at the park. Picnicking and swimming are perfect for the summer months, but you can still have fun in the winter at Alum Creek. Conditional upon the weather, they offer ice skating; sledding; snowmobiling and cross-country skiing on specific trails; ice fishing; and ice boating.
