Graeter’s Ice Cream
If you’re in Bexley, this is the place to go for a frozen treat. Graeter’s is family owned. They also cater and have the hook up with Uber Eats. What is interesting about this shop is that it has an old fashion vibe to it. Even though this is an ice cream chain, to the residents of Bexley, it is home.
They have an incredible variety of flavors. So if you’re in the mood to try something new, this is the place to go. This is also a huge hit with the Capital University students, which also hints at its very reasonable prices!
Zoe Cafe
The Zoe Cafe is the ultimate place to try a wide variety of foods and teas. There is a patio and different areas of seating. Reviewers on Yelp are raving about the relaxing atmosphere. Even though they serve alcohol, it is still family and kid-friendly. I encourage anyone visiting or living in Bexley to check it out.
Community Pool
The community pool is a hit in Bexley. Residents of all ages enjoy it, and its open during the warm summer months. It will be opening on May 26th for the 2018 season. This isn’t a boring old pool though. It has an eight-lane competition pool, zero depth leisure entry pool, diving well, water slides, toddler pool, and splash pad.
It was designed to accommodate all ages and is even handicapped accessible. There are swimming classes offered and there is a competitive swim team for children ages 5-18. In order to have access to the pool, you do need a membership. Unfortunately, there isn’t an online form but you can print it off here.
Commonwealth Park
Commonwealth Park is a gorgeous place to go all year round. There are multiple athletic fields and specialized areas for different sports. There are multiple walking trails and running paths with gorgeous scenery. If you’re not into hiking, it would be such a cute date spot for a picnic. I think it may be time for you to stop and enjoy the roses...literally.
On the outside, it may look like a college town, but there is so much more to it. It is a wonderful place to raise kids with the very family friendly atmosphere (and plenty of babysitter options, thanks to the university). There is a place for everyone to belong in Bexley.
