What’s a Rich Text element?

The rich text element allows you to create and format headings, paragraphs, blockquotes, images, and video all in one place instead of having to add and format them individually. Just double-click and easily create content.

Static and dynamic content editing

A rich text element can be used with static or dynamic content. For static content, just drop it into any page and begin editing. For dynamic content, add a rich text field to any collection and then connect a rich text element to that field in the settings panel. Voila!

How to customize formatting for each rich text

Headings, paragraphs, blockquotes, figures, images, and figure captions can all be styled after a class is added to the rich text element using the "When inside of" nested selector system.

Whether you are planning on selling your home in the near future or not, increasing its value is always a good investment. By making significant or even minor changes, you can potentially earn thousands of dollars when you finally decide to put your home on the market. Regardless of whether you plan to give your home a makeover just to make it nicer or more modern, or you want to increase its value, here are several projects you could consider.

Fix structural problems

First of all, your home needs to be a safe place for you and your family. To ensure this, you need to address structural problems and fix them properly. No one will want to buy a home with bowing walls, a collapsed floor slab, or cracking walls. Your roof also needs to be in perfect shape, so make sure everything is in order. A leaky or sagging roof, missing or broken roof tiles, or an unstable chimney are all factors that can drastically lower the value of your home. When making repairs, make sure you insulate your roof as well. Roof insulation can save you a lot of money in the long run and even allow you to convert your attic into a living area.

Transform your backyard into an entertaining area

Is your backyard currently used only by your dog? If so, consider investing in a covered outdoor deck. This way you can spend time outdoors even if it is raining and have a great place to entertain your friends. To give your backyard that resort-like feel, build a small gazebo. With nice outdoor furniture, a barbeque, string lights, and some plants, you can convert your old, unused backyard into your slice of heaven. Furthermore, when you decide to sell your home, such an area will attract a lot of potential buyers.

Get rid of walls

The open floor plan has been in style for several years now, and it seems that this trend is not going anywhere. If walls separate your dining area from your kitchen or your kitchen from your living room, it is time to knock down some walls and create one big space that will make your home look spacier and brighter. With such a floor plan, it is much easier to socialise or simply keep an eye on the kids while cooking.

Redo the kitchen

One of the foolproof ways to increase the value of your home is to give your kitchen a makeover. This is one of the areas the house buyers pay the most attention to, so give your kitchen a new look. However, keep in mind that a classic style may appeal to a wider audience. Choose neutral tones and get high-quality appliances, for starters. However, if you are not willing to turn your kitchen upside down and you just want to refresh it without spending a fortune, you can replace hardware and countertops or repaint the cabinets. An island is a great way to give your kitchen a more modern look, not to mention more workspace. Furthermore, a new sink or a backsplash can also change how your kitchen looks.

Increase curb appeal

The first thing people see when they come to your home is the front of your property. Therefore, to increase curb appeal and the value of your home, make sure your front yard is in good shape. You may have to trim some bushes, add a fresh coat of paint, or maybe some simple yard décor such as a bench or potted plants.

Optimise your lighting

Overhead lights serve their purpose, but they won't give your home that cosy look. Think about installing wall lights or placing table and floor lamps throughout your home. Furthermore, be careful about the colour of the light. A white, bright light will make your home look too sterile and cold, so if you don't want that hospital-y vibe, opt for a warmer hue. Outdoor lights can make a huge difference and make your home a lot more appealing. Install pathway light fixtures to give your home a million-dollar look.

Giving an old home a new look can seem like a lot of work. However, at the end of the day, your home's value will significantly increase, and you will find yourself living in a house you absolutely love.
