5 Reasons to Live in a Small Town
Growing up in a small town is comfortable, care-free, and truly special.
Times are Changing
The real estate market has changed since we were kids. Many adults live in cities, less and less are moving to suburbs, and even fewer are owning properties. While needs with every generation are always changing, there is something very special to be said about the way we grew up. Life in a small town is an incomparable gift that can still be given. Look into owning a home like the one you grew up in and search for homes in Ohio!

Community Events
One of the best parts about my small town was the sense of community. There were always events going on like town fairs, parades, fundraisers, and many more. Thanks to the tight-knit community in a small town, these events were always family friendly, inexpensive, and popular. They were some of the most exciting events every year, and everyone experiences them together.
The Education
The public school system is the backbone of our country. Reaping the benefits from a successful education system can be extremely worthwhile. The quality of schooling is often one of the most influential factors for young adults choosing a new home. Education is shaping the future, and your family can be a part of it too.
The Great Outdoors
One of the most exquisite attributes of living in a small town is the proximity of nature. It surrounds the town through its rivers, lakes, hills, vineyards, orchards, and even lawns. There are amazing health benefits linked with immersing yourself in nature. Get rid of the city smog and go with the fall breeze instead.
Local Farmers
The local farmers and farmers’ markets had some of the freshest food, flowers, and meats around. It was a place for all of the artisans of the town to come forward with their crafts for sale. You could find antique furniture, ancient paintings, or even a delicious cider donut. Having this network offered up healthy opportunities that cities could not offer. No need to go to the supermarket when you can get it all from your neighbor!
Your Own Family
By far the most wonderful thing about growing up in a small town is the family that you are given by living there. I’m not referring to the kids you have or the spouse you live with, but the family that isn’t blood-related. The family that is there for you in an emergency, to help pick up your kids, and to love your home as much as you do. That family is the one you can’t find in a big city, because in a small town, you’re all in it together.
